Knowing that my little one can arrive any minute now gives me a mix of emotions – I am extremely excited and ready (as I can ever be, I guess) on one hand, but also a bit sad that soon this special time of me growing another human being will be over. That got me thinking of some of the things I have learned over the past nine months.
People will ask you all sort of personal questions, so having witty replies is handy
Not everyone will give up their seat for you on a public transport (despite you looking very pregnant)
Regular snacking is key (my favourite excuse for eating a little bit more!)
Napping is a pregnant girl’s best friend
Some people will feel the need for an unsolicited baby bump rub
Nothing ever compares to that moment when you feel your baby moving for the first time
Pregnancy glow is a myth (or happens to few lucky ladies)
Although your hair and nails grow much quicker and stronger (score!)
It’s very weird to see your whole body changing and not having control over it
Even if and when you feel down you know there is this ultimate surprise waiting for you at the end of this journey and all the uncomfortable pregnancy symptoms make it worth it
