The last few days of our Thailand trip we spent in Bangkok. After just getting engaged on Phi Phi island we wanted to celebrate our engagement in style and explore the city’s famous nightlife. But how could we not visit the famous landmarks, such as The Grand Palace and various temples (such as Temple of Emerald Buddha, Temple of the Reclining Buddha and Wat Arun) whilst in Bangkok?
The visit to The Grand Palace site was incredible. The colours and details of the surrounding monuments were astonishing. The sun reflected off the gold plated tiles and precious stones and created the most magnificent sights. I must have taken hundreds of pictures just on this one day alone as everything was so picture-worthy.
As much as I loved the sightseeing I didn’t enjoy Bangkok’s rush, traffic, humidity and hassling from the street vendors on every corner. After spending blissful and relaxing time in Phuket and on Phi Phi I wanted the relaxing atmosphere to carry on until the end of our holidays. However, nothing could spoil it for me (us!) as we had just began our new adventure as fiancé and fiancée!
