Everyday Life The Office

Simultaneously with the nursery we decorated our home office. Since my husband often works from home and I like to blog in peace and quiet, we knew we wanted the room to be tidy, organised but also creative.

If I had this room all to myself, it would be a little bit more feminine, but we had to reach the middle ground. We accomplished that with by sticking to monochrome colours – white and grey and adding pops of colour with flowers and prints.

The cluster of prints above the desk relates to our relationship – images of our hometowns (London and Katowice), lyrics of our first dance song (Better Together by Jack Johnson), a snapshot from our wedding, and of course a gorgeous photo of our little boy from his newborn photoshoot. The photo is printed on a frameless metal sheet and it looks very sleek on the wall. I got it through Tiny Prints and I love their selection of prints and customisation options.

On the other wall I pay homage to my two great loves – coffee and photography. The old camera print was gifted to me by Minted and I absolutely love how it looks against the grey wall. I had a hard time deciding which print to choose from their amazing art marketplace as I loved most of the pieces. But it had to be the camera, it fits so perfectly.

I really like how this room turned out. I’ve noticed I’ve been coming here in the evenings to blog, with a cup of hot tea and a candle burning on the desk – it’s become my ritual, my ‘me time’.
