Three months left! It’s absolutely incredible how time is flying past. Perhaps it’s the shorter days, or because we are busy with preschool and other commitments, but wow… I’m just finishing my second trimester, eek! I literally cannot believe how quick this pregnancy is going.
The last few weeks have been a bit challenging. The hip pain I had in previous pregnancy is back – especially at night, when I sleep on my side. I’ve been trying to do more stretching, yoga and swimming but it’s a temporary fix (or so it seems). I’ve also been having anxiety attacks (again, always at night) – for no other reason than not being able to sleep or waking up and not being able to go back to sleep. Oh, the pregnancy insomnia!
Apart from that I’ve noticed that the baby has been sitting quite high, which sometimes makes it super hard to breath… and I know it’s only going to get more uncomfortable! I could also tell that the baby has been going through a growth spurt, because I’ve been super hungry and definitely putting on weight more quickly (hopefully not too much too quickly?). And she’s been super active inside, doing somersaults, jumping around and kicking me whenever I put a hand on my belly.
I also had to stock up on some more pregnancy clothes, because this time around I will be heavily pregnant in winter – so hello big oversized sweaters and chunky knits!
